【Explanation】 As an important cultural brand in Chengdu in recent years, when Chengdu street artists return to the streets has always attracted much attention. On April 17, the reporter learned from the Chengdu Cultural Center that street performers are expected to resume performances in May.

[Commentary] It is understood that Chengdu began to allow artists to perform on the street "certificate" on May 1, 2018. At present, Chengdu has a total of 7 batches of street artists from various industries including art, IT, and medical treatment, with a total of 299 groups and 371 people. The performances cover music, instrumental music, dance, quyi and other types.

[Same period] (Wan Lili, deputy director of Chengdu Cultural Museum) The street art performance project in Chengdu was launched in March 2018. Through public recruitment, evaluation and training, we officially took the post on May 1 with a certificate and performed on the street. We have adopted an online intelligent management platform, and we have unified street artists into the management of public culture.

[Commentary] Due to the epidemic situation, since the last performance on January 12, Chengdu has completely suspended street art performances. At the same time, due to the suspension of business in bars and other entertainment venues, the cancellation of various commercial performances has exposed some full-time street performers to the danger of "cutting food". As the fourth batch of full-time street performers in Chengdu with the "Certified Post", the boat band has been performing on the street for almost a year. Affected by the epidemic, members of the band have only recently been able to create at homes.

[Same period] (Lulu, a member of the boat band) Because before the epidemic, he sang on the street at any time, and many bars also sang, or there were more commercials. There are also many people who sing on the street, and the income can still be. But at the beginning of the outbreak, because they could not go out, then the bar did not open (open for business), and then there was no commercial performance. So it has lasted for a month or two without (income), zero income, and spend every day.

【Explanation】 In order to ensure the source of income during the epidemic, the Chengdu City Cultural Center has also taken corresponding measures to encourage artists to expand their performance channels and move online to fight against the epidemic with art.

[Same period] (Lulu, a member of the boat band) Now you ca n’t sing on the street, so you can only go online. Online is not affected, you can sing at home.

[Same period] (Captain Zhou, the boat band) We didn't pay much attention to this (online) at all, and we didn't pay much attention to our popularity and account management. Now we think we should take care of these things together. Then it started to mature slowly.

[Commentary] In addition, the Chengdu Cultural Center also actively contacted and docked with excellent platforms such as "China's Good Voice" and "Sound You Come" during the epidemic to provide street artists with more opportunities to show themselves and increase their popularity.

[Same period] (Wan Lili, Deputy Director of Chengdu Cultural Museum) We are still actively contacting various platforms for them, which is a way to explore our new performance. Especially new media platforms, such as "Douyin", self-media, and anchors, they will all make money online.

[Commentary] It is reported that the Chengdu City Cultural Center has already made preparations for performing performance checks and confirming the physical health of street artists, and plans to gradually resume street art performances from May.
