The design and construction of the "Casabueblo" hotel near the famous city of Punta del Este in Uruguay took 36 years.
The hotel consists of 13 floors of hotel rooms and includes a group of restaurants and spas in addition to a museum.
Uruguay bought the plot of land on which Casabueblo is located in 1958 and it was built by artist Carlos Paez Villarro, who lived and worked there until his death at the age of 90 in 2014.
