An Indonesian fashion designer has sparked controversy on social media because of a handbag he says is made from a human backbone that was legally purchased from a Canadian company.

On his page, Indonesian designer Arnold Putra said he was selling a bag made of crocodile tongue and a human backbone, which he referred to as a "medical surplus" from Canada.

Pictures of the unique bag, which cost $ 5,000, and appears in the form of a basket with a spine-like handle; ignited the anger of the public immediately after its publication, and encouraged journalists to question the origin of this suspicious element, while experts confirmed to Insider that they were convinced that it was a real human spine.

According to the American website "Insider", the bag designed by Arnold Putra was put up for sale for the first time in 2016 and it is still being sold for sale online on the Internet at 5000 dollars.
