Coronavirus: A toll-free number to help employees, unemployed and students, set up by the Solidaires union - Free-Photos / Pixabay

For a week, "hundreds" of people have already called this number 0 805 37 21 34 which operates seven days a week from 9h to 19h, according to Solidaires.

The union has set up a hotline to help employees, the unemployed and students to assert their rights during periods of confinement following the coronavirus crisis. These are its activists answering questions in real time.

Industry, health and construction

In terms of employees, three sectors come first: industry, health and social and construction, according to the union. “Partial activity, incomplete or even non-existent security measures, refusal of authorization to babysit, setting up telework, improper termination of the trial period, imposed leave dates are all subjects for which employees are looking for a union support ”, underlines the union union in a press release.

According to Solidaires, these calls testify to the "pressure" exerted by a number of employers, which "has grown dangerously in recent hours in order to get thousands of workers back to work" without "the protections essential to their health ", By not hesitating to" flout their rights, already attacked by the health emergency law ".

Like the CFDT which offers a wide range of questions and answers and the Ugict CGT which allows internet users to leave video messages, Solidaires has also set up a "frequently asked questions" on its site. It also offers a support platform for migrants explaining the health crisis and confinement in several languages.
