Kitakyushu City announced on the night of June 6 that four new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

According to Kitakyushu City, among the four new cases, the man in his 60s who lives in Wakamatsu Ward is a driver of a shuttle bus at Yawata Driving School located in Yawata Nishi Ward.
He had a fever and malaise on the 29th of last month, but he had been working for 3 days until the infection was confirmed on the 5th.
The city stated that there were no close contacts for passengers in the pick-up car, as they wore masks and gloves when driving.

The mother in his 80s was also infected, and two had symptoms of pneumonia and were hospitalized at a designated medical institution in the prefecture.

In addition, the 60-year-old male in Yawata Nishi Ward has been confirmed to be infected by medical staff at a medical institution in the city where he was consulted, but so far there has been no symptoms such as coughs and fever.

With this, 49 people were confirmed infected in Kitakyushu City.

On the other hand, the city requested Fukuoka Prefecture to conduct a test for 65 people, but all of them were negative for persons involved in the New Small Hospital in Moji Ward, where outbreaks were confirmed.
