The new chain - BALEYDIER / SIPA

French television joins forces against boredom. As the JDD reports, a new channel "intended to take care intelligently at home and with the family for the next few weeks", will land on Monday on TV.

Called #ALaMaison, it was created on the initiative of the French audiovisual production group Mediawan, which succeeded in uniting TF1, France Télévisions, M6 and Canal +, as well as major groups such as Bouygues Telecom, Free, Orange, SFR, Pathé, Prod reservoir… The objective? Bring content to the French throughout the confinement period.

Free programs throughout confinement

Every day from 7 a.m. to midnight, #ALaMaison will offer "cultural and educational programs for young and old", explains Le Parisien . Each media participating in this project will provide free content, whether films (great cinema classics will be broadcast each evening), series, but also documentaries and scientific programs. Unpublished content should also be produced for the occasion, such as a program to answer children's questions, run by journalist Ali Baddou.

“Unfortunately, the media sector does not have the technical means to help manufacture or transport masks or hydroalcoholic gel. We cannot help with the sale or transportation of food either. But it was essential that we also help the French in this very difficult period. We all have lots of great shows in our closets. It would have been a waste not to make them available to the public, "explained Pierre-Antoine Capton, the founder of Mediawan, to the daily newspaper.

Our file on containment

Ephemeral and generating no advertising, the #ALaMaison channel will be available free of charge to all those with an ADSL box or MyCanal subscription, throughout the confinement period.
