American actress Sharon Stone sent a message of support to the Italian Red Cross on Saturday against the coronavirus. "I know you are putting your lives in danger to carry out your mission," she added in a video posted to the Italian Red Cross Twitter account.

"I just want to tell you how much I admire you, how much what you care about in my eyes (...) I see you do your work silently, efficiently, with so much dignity and attention", adds the star of Casino or Basic Instinct, clearly moved.

In 2018, the 62-year-old American actress received the Red Cross Merit Gold Medal in Rome as a testimony to "her humanitarian commitment".
