• Infected, admitted to a hospital in Acapulco

Singer Plácido Domingo has been released from a private hospital in Acapulco (Mexico), after being admitted a day earlier for complications related to the coronavirus.

A source from the Mexican country's Secretary of Health has confirmed that the Spanish tenor is already at his residence in Acapulco and his health is stable, according to CNN. Previously, it had been reported that the artist was already "responding to treatment" at the hospital.

Last week the singer himself reported his positive in the test for the new coronavirus. "I feel it is my moral duty to announce that I have tested positive for COVID-19, the coronavirus," Domingo said in a message published on his social networks.

"I experienced symptoms of fever and cough, so I decided to have the test and the result was positive," he explained. In his message, the singer pleaded with citizens to be "extremely careful", to follow basic guidelines , washing their hands frequently, staying at least 1.5 meters away from others, doing everything possible to prevent them from the virus spreads.
