US President Donald Trump declared the District of Columbia, which includes the capital, Washington, a disaster area, against the backdrop of the spread of the emerging Corona virus.

Trump had issued earlier today two decrees declaring Connecticut and Oregon two major disaster areas due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

He also gave instructions to provide federal budget aid to all affected areas in the two states, according to two White House statements.

It is noteworthy that the latest data published by Johns Hopkins University, which tracks the spread of the "Covid-19" virus in the world, showed that the number of people infected with the virus in the United States exceeded 124 thousand people, of whom 2.2 thousand died.
