The K-Pop group BTS - Los Angeles Times / Polaris / Starface

BTS decided to create a web series to allow their fans to learn the basics of Korean. So 30 lessons will be given by members of the K-pop group via the Weverse app. These courses are "designed to make things easier for fans who find it difficult to enjoy BTS music because of the language barrier," said a statement from Big Hit Entertainment.

Each three-minute lesson, created with the collaboration of linguists, will focus on a few grammar rules and simple expressions, as the BBC points out. The first episode aired on March 23.

Stay united

In addition, BTS members released a video to thank Korean medical staff for their dedication to the coronavirus pandemic. They also called on their fans to stay united in the face of adversity.

"I think the thing that can be the hardest part is that we feel more and more isolated," said one of the singers in his native language. There are times when we need to believe more than doubt, to show attention rather than anger. As citizens of Korea and the world, BTS will face this challenge with all of you. "
