First of all, this work is the work of our medical staff, especially we as infection doctors. This is our duty, which is our job.

[Explanation] The person in the picture is Tong Qiaoxia, a member of the China Zhigong Party and medical director of the Infection Department of Wuhan Union Hospital. After the new crown pneumonia epidemic occurred, she led the team in the critically ill ward and joined the front line of the epidemic. Recently, Tong Qiaoxia told reporters in an interview that in order to alleviate the problems of inadequate initial staff and busy transfer, she had only to stand by for 14 days and volunteered for a month in the ICU.

For example, doctors in the first group are on for 24 hours, take two days off, and then the doctor in the second group returns. Because our patients' conditions change very quickly, there is a problem here is what happened between these two days, the doctors of the previous class may not know. Then I went on for 14 days, because the new patient and the new team were running in, so I said that I should be able to persist, and I said that I would continue to work. So I have to communicate with my doctors every day.

[Explanation] Visiting the ward, analyzing the condition, admitting and transferring ... In the month of staying in the intensive care ward, from morning to night, Tong Qiaoxia has become the normal work. Recalling those days, Tong Qiaoxia smiled and said that there was no lunch break on weekends, and she seemed to have no concept of time. Most of the medical staff in the ward came from different departments. In order to alleviate their anxiety, Tong Qiaoxia often took the job alone for the throat sampling of critically ill patients.

Of course, at the beginning, because everyone is really not clear about this matter, I think there will be some fear, I will see it after I do it. One is to know how to do it. It's okay to be well protected.

[Explanation] With the efforts of Tong Qiaoxia and the team, the development of diagnosis and treatment has become more orderly and efficient. However, most of the patients in the ICU are complicated, and many patients will develop fear and even resist treatment. Tong Qiaoxia often enlightened patients and helped them build confidence.

An older patient impressed me a lot. Because he has a basic disease, the effect is not very obvious when treated. So the patient also started to have some negative emotions, and the rounds asked him if he was not good and didn't speak. Every time we will communicate with him in front of his bed, ask him a few words, encourage him a few words. After a few rounds of ward rounds, I slowly discovered that the patient became more and more fond of speech. In the end, the patient's condition improved. As a medical staff, it may not be simply a matter of drug treatment. It may require us to provide comfort and encouragement in many aspects.

[Explanation] Many patients will still consult and greet Tong Qiaoxia after being cured and discharged or transferred to hospital. This dependence and trust moved her deeply. Regarding the future, Tong Qiaoxia said that although the epidemic situation was gradually improving, she would not be slack in the slightest.

One is that the epidemic situation has not ended, and we are returning to work one after another, and the medical staff who have been assisted nationwide have not yet retreated, so what is the next step? We still follow the arrangements. There is nothing to say how much credit we have, just that we have played our due role in this war. I think every medical staff does this, and everyone will rush ahead when needed.
