Caroline Roux presents C in the air. - GUYON Nathalie

The presenter wants more women on her set. On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, Caroline Roux launches an "appeal to women to accept to come out of the shadows and share their expertise" on the set of C dans l'air, l ' decryption broadcast of France 5, this Sunday in the columns of the Parisian.

" It is a need. There are still many areas in which we cannot find women, or who do not respond when asked, ”says the host. Maximal Production, C in the air production company, has created an email address to attract more female television experts: appelauxexpertes@maximal-prod.com.

The 2019 CSA report pointed to the lack of TV and radio experts. “When I took C back into the air in 2016, there were 27% of experts on set,” says Caroline Roux. A figure which now rises to 50% since January, at the cost of many efforts, while it has a wider "offer" of male experts "already identified". "We are not playing women against men, it is a rebalancing," she said again.

Among the fields where women are too rare, "defense, internal security, diplomacy, justice", lists Caroline Roux. The daily France 5 broadcast between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. is the program with the widest audience in the chain, with an average of 1.37 million viewers on weekdays, or 11.8% of the audience. Caroline Roux hopes that the success of the show will encourage many specialists to attend!
