Two Caesar and a regret

Awarded as best animated film and for the music of Dan Levy, Jérémy Clapin regrets that the regulations of the Académie des César do not allow a film like his to apply for the rank of best first work. "Animation is not yet taken seriously enough," he sighs. Even though the awards for I lost my body demonstrate that adult entertainment has a future. The release of the film on video marks the end of a great adventure. "We are offering a 30-minute making of showing in a very organic way how the film came to be," he said. After his 200,000 visits to France, we want the severed hand and the young man who are the film's heroes are enjoying a new triumph in DVD and Blu-ray.

And after that ?

Legitimately proud to have carried the colors of French animation cinema very high, Jérémy Clapin is now planning to make a film with real shots. "That doesn't mean that I'm giving up animation," he says. I just want to try something else because my cinephilia is not limited to this medium. "If he is discreet about the content of this next project, he admits" dying to get back to work. And we are impatient to see what his future will hold.
