A ski resort without snow is like a trip without sun: it lacks the essentials, and there is not much that can be done. With the spectacularly high temperatures at the start of the year, the resorts are facing a shortage of white gold.
An absence such as the Mont-Dore ski resort, in Puy-de-Dôme, begins a receivership procedure, reports La Montagne.
A season far from expectations
The decision of the board of directors aims to "save jobs", explains Patrick Déat, director of the SAEM Mont-Dore ski lift, in the columns of our colleagues.
The deficit is 1.7 million euros, while there is only one week left for the winter holidays, or 65% of the gains of the season. The resort is only 21% of its targets, according to La Montagne.
