Europe 1's special envoy to Italy spent two days in Codogno, Italy, a quarantined city and the first outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in Europe. When she returned to France, she could see the lightness of the controls, or even their non-existence.

REPORTAGE

For several days, the city of Codogno in Italy, identified as the most important European home of the Covid-19, has been in quarantine. However, our special envoy was able to go there and leave without being checked. When she returned to France via Milan airport, she also noted the virtual absence of a control system. Reportage.

At 4 p.m., upon arrival at Milan airport, no signs or posters were found on the coronavirus. We pass the security checks during which, despite wearing a mask, we are not asked any questions.

"Incomprehensible"

In the departure lounge, Tulio, a traveler departing for Brazil, is amazed: "You imagine, I am traveling to the other side of the planet, maybe I am spreading the virus. They must check this at airports!"

On the plane, no specific instructions are given. Staff do not wear a mask. At 7:30 p.m., the aircraft landed in Paris, at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport. In the corridors there are some brochures on China but nothing on Italy. No one checks the temperature of the passengers. "There is no control, there is nothing, it's even incomprehensible," said another passenger.
