Chiba Ichikawa All elementary and junior high schools in the city are temporarily closed for two weeks from 28th February 23:37 on February 26

Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, has decided to suspend all municipal elementary and junior high schools from 28th for two weeks after three new coronavirus infected people used the same sports club in the city. I decided.

Three people who were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in Chiba Prefecture were found to have used the same sports club in Ichikawa City this month, and Chiba Prefecture targeted approximately 600 users and employees. I am doing health observation.

According to the people involved, it was found that among the 600 people, there were multiple teachers and staff at elementary and junior high schools in the city.

At this time, schools in the city have not been confirmed to have infected faculty members or children, but Ichikawa City has conducted a total of about 60 schools, including elementary and junior high schools and kindergartens, for two weeks from the 28th to the 12th of next month. We have decided to temporarily close the school.

We will keep in touch with the family even during the school holidays, and consider providing supplementary lessons during the spring break to care for children.

On the other hand, the graduation ceremony will be reduced to a limited number of attendees, such as graduates and parents.

Ichikawa City will hold a press conference on December 27 to formally announce these policies.
