[Explanation] As time goes into late February, northeast China is gradually icing and melting. Recently, the Jilin Hunchun Jingxin Wetland in the border area of China and Russia ushered in the first group of northern returning geese. Experts said that the return of geese this year was slightly earlier than usual.

Jingxin Wetland is one of the three major migration corridors of Chinese migratory birds. Hundreds of thousands of wild geese stop and look for food here in the spring and autumn of each year, accumulating strength for a long migration path. This is also the last stop of their Northbound journey in China.

After the new crown pneumonia outbreak, human activities decreased, and the flock of geese approached the village for food. The fields around Jingchun Town of Hunchun are still covered with snow, the spring breeze is passing, old reeds are floating, and among the white and golden, the grey geese are hiding.

In the early spring, Yanming was crisp and distant, and the wetland was quietly restored throughout the winter. Grass and residues in the fields are their main food. Without the photographer's telephoto lens, people can hardly see the scenes where they forage.

[Same period] (Director Gao Dabin, Wild Resources Protection Division, Hunchun Northeast Tiger Reserve Management Bureau) This year's bird migration has begun in Hunchun. So far, we have observed national-level protected birds, white-tailed sea eagles, tiger Head sea eagles and vultures have been found, so the geese have also been found in small numbers in recent days.

[Explanation] In addition to the wild geese, rare birds such as white-tailed sea eagles, tiger head sea eagles, vultures, and seagulls have also come to Jingxin Wetland for food. For a while, there was a tendency for "hundred birds to contend" on this fertile soil.

Jingxin Wetland is located in the key state-owned forest area under the jurisdiction of Changbai Mountain Forest Industry Group. The forest area nature reserve has a total area of 657,000 hectares. It has more than 80% of terrestrial wild animal species in Jilin Province and is a key protected area for animals and plants in Jilin Province.

Recently, Changbai Mountain Forest Industry Group further expanded the coverage of frontline patrol monitoring in forest areas, and set up 212 patrol guard points in conjunction with the Hunchun Forest Public Security Bureau and other departments, and dispatched a total of 1565 people to inspect key areas. At present, no epidemic situation has been found.
