Singer Demi Lovato - Los Angeles Times / Polaris / Starface

Demi Lovato opened up on the overdose that almost cost her life in 2018. The singer tried to explain, in Ashley Graham's podcast, Pretty Big Deal , what had made her plunge back into her demons . The star has never hidden his problems with eating disorders or his addictions, even celebrating sobriety every year on social networks. She had also released the title Sober , shortly before being found inanimate at home.

At the microphone of Ashley Graham, Demi Lovato spoke about a problem widely denounced in Hollywood: the pressure to stay slim at all costs. It was already what had led her to anorexia and bulimia, and, without realizing it, she took this same path.

“I'm tired of running straight into the wall with sports and extreme diets. I thought for the past few years that I was recovering from an eating disorder as I fell back into it. When you have certain people around you who tell you that you have to look like this or that, it's hard. I was in this situation, and I was rushing straight into the wall. I think that is what led to what happened. I thought I was better then I was not, and I was living a lie, trying to tell the world that I was happy with myself when not at all, "said Demi Lovato.
