At the "Carnival house" in Nice, in the Riquier district, where the float designers are accelerating the movement, Karl Lagerfeld is (almost) everywhere. The illustrious couturier who disappeared last year will be at least on three of the 17 rolling stages which will parade on Saturday on Place Masséna behind ... the king of fashion.
“It was an obligatory tribute to this theme. He was one of the greatest, admits Pierre Povigna, one of the carnivalists. It is a very interesting year. The king of fashion allows us extravagant things, colors and very interesting shapes to work with. "
Animal exploitation in fashion
In the hangar where these specialists put a final touch on their creations, between painting and final welds, the other fashion stars are already dug in polystyrene and shaped in metal and papier-mâché. Sonia Rykiel, John Galliano, Anna Wintour will also have the honors.
