The Hong Kong police announced that they are searching for two people fleeing the quarantine, in violation of the quarantine decision imposed by the province on every Chinese expatriate.

Under that procedure, it became imperative for every expatriate from the mainland to isolate himself for a period of two weeks at his home, hotel or any other place of his choice, and the authorities can monitor the extent of his respect for this stone by contacting him daily by phone and visiting him suddenly, under penalty of imprisonment for a period 6 months, and large fines.

In the event that the expatriate from mainland China to Hong Kong does not have a residence, then the district authorities will take him to one of the residence centers that she has set up for this purpose.

Hong Kong Minister of Health Sophia Chan Seo-chih announced today that, since entering the mandatory procedures, nine people have been found to have left their specified places of residence, while search is still underway for two.

"I have to remind people that violating the quarantine order is a criminal offense," Chan said, noting that the police will issue arrest warrants for the fugitives.

The quarantine measures that started on Saturday made most of those covered in their homes stay, while 35 people stayed in hotels, and 20 were sent to government quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, the Health Protection Center announced that two other patients in Hong Kong had been confirmed to be infected with the virus, bringing the number to 38.

One of the cases involved a 55-year-old woman, becoming the tenth among a group of relatives infected with the Coronavirus, who had a common meal last month.
