February 9, 1915 was born the Soviet theater and film actor, People's Artist of the USSR Boris Andreev. The big debut in the movie for Andreev was the role of Nazar Duma in Ivan Pyryev’s film “Tractor Drivers”. Subsequently, Andreev repeatedly embodied on the screen the images of courageous and strong-willed heroes. Among the most memorable roles of Andreev in the movie are the boatswain Zosima Wolverine from “The Way to the Dock”, the steelmaker Sasha Svintsov from the picture “Two Fighters”, the sailor Luchkin from the film “Maxim” and, of course, Ilya Muromets from the film of the same name by Alexander Ptushko. During his life, the actor has played in more than fifty feature films. Boris Andreev - holder of two highest orders of the USSR, laureate of two Stalin Prizes of the 1st degree and winner of the Cannes Film Festival.
