Al-Qabas newspaper reported in its Tuesday edition that the Medical Examination Committee in Kuwait discovered that 42 military personnel were infected with AIDS in the Ministry of Interior and Defense and the National Guard.

The Kuwaiti newspaper quoted sources described by Al-Mutlaa as saying that this committee is examining all the military personnel in the three regions periodically, and after some of them fell during the intensive training, they underwent special medical examinations, and they found a satisfactory temperature rise; "AIDS."
According to the newspaper’s sources, the injured are distributed among 7 in the National Guard, 21 in the army, and 14 in the Ministry of Interior, and the examination is still ongoing, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, according to strict procedures, confidentiality and strict discretion, where the injured were isolated in a private medical ward.
The sources pointed out that the joint committee, which includes medical specialists from the military and the Ministry of Health, will begin, within the next few days, comprehensive new examinations for the military to ensure that they are free of hepatitis C virus, and whoever proves infected will be immediately retired.
