Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy did not drop one but two good news on the red carpet of the Bafta awards, the ceremony for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. After confirming a sequel to Indiana Jones , the lucky winner for the BAFTA of Honor has comforted fans who want to see a female director of one of the next Star Wars . "So a film [a Star Wars ] could be directed by a woman? Asked a BBC journalist. "Oh absolutely, without a doubt" she answers without giving more details, with a big smile.
"We already have directors working on Star Wars, " added Kathleen Kennedy. And to quote Deborah Chow, who works on the mini-series on Obi-Wan Kenobi, with actor Erwan McGregor.
Among the women who worked on the last Star Wars, The Ascension of Skywalker, we can mention Victoria Mahoney. She was the director for the second team, an additional film crew to the main team.
