First report of our series devoted to municipal elections in France next March. First stopover in Bordeaux, the city of former Prime Ministers Jacques Chaban Delmas and Alain Juppé, both elected in the first round in each election since 1959. But the situation is changing: the successor of Alain Juppé at the Town Hall for a year, Nicolas Florian, and the environmental candidate Pierre Hurmic have been neck and neck in the first round while the macronist candidate Thomas Cazenave is playing spoilsports.
