- I am very grateful that Jan Johansen has accepted yes at such short notice. Not everyone can stand on the Melodifestivalen scene in front of three million viewers under these circumstances, says Karin Gunnarsson competition producer for Melodifestivalen 2020 in a press release.
It will be Jan Johansen's fifth time competing in the Melodifestivalen. His biggest success in that context was 1995 when he won with the song Look at Me, which ended in third place in the Eurovision song contest.
In this year's competition, he participates in the song Miracles of Time written by Thomas G: son. It's the same song that Thorsten Flinck would have performed.
- With an experienced artist like Jan, the competition is secured on Saturday and I am convinced that he will make a nice version of the Miracles time, says Karin Gunnarsson.
