Russia through the mouth of Dmitry Peskov, the president’s spokesman, did not approve the Trump administration's project on the Middle East settlement (Middle East settlement), which the Americans called the deal of the century. However, almost no one approved it - neither the Palestinians, nor the Arab neighbors of Israel, nor the Europeans, nor the US Congress. The purpose of this deal is not the second-tier banks, but the re-election of President Trump.

The “Deal of the Century” is proposed with the aim of establishing a Bantustust regime in Israel and Palestine: where Jews live, there Israel, where Palestinians there Palestine. From the West Bank, the deal proposes to cut off a third, to transfer the Jordan Valley to the Jewish state. That is, the Palestinian state-designed Trump Kushner’s son-in-law will not even have external borders. It will not border on anyone but the Jewish state. Israel will have control over the borders, only Israel will have an army. Palestinians must disarm to the end. Palestinians are not supposed to have democracy - they must liquidate the Hamas party, for which half the Palestinians vote. They will elect in their parliament, which will not be able to decide anything, and the Israelis in their own - in the Knesset.

Everyone except Israeli Jews replied “no” to this proposal, but the beneficiaries themselves thought: “Will it not stick together?” Both the conditional “pigeons” and the conditional “center” among Israeli Jews have noticed that Trump’s deal is so good for Israel, it makes the situation of the Palestinians so impossible that in the shortest possible time this imbalance will lead Israel and Palestine to integration, a single state. And they do not want this at all. It is one thing to claim a vote for illegal immigrants from Mexico in California, and quite another to give a vote to local Arabs. Who exactly for this deal is the extreme Jewish settlers who already live according to the Trump plan.

Trump's deal is unrealistic. Why will Japan give many billions of dollars to build a 50 km long tunnel between two parts of Palestine so that Jews and Arabs can travel but not see each other? Why will Europe give many billions of dollars to create an economic zone in the middle of the desert, where there are no people?

Even according to the plan, the first positive move for the Palestinians will happen in five years, that is, after the end of Trump’s second cadence.

Russia gently pointed out that the parameters of the transaction do not correspond to the parameters of the second-tier banks. After all, negotiations on the second-tier banks have been going on for 70 years and agreed on some things, the UN Security Council voted and approved. Trump - a volunteer, as Khrushchev was called - to me, they say, the Security Council is not a decree and all the agreements are not important to me, as I want, it will be so. Russia is one of the four participants of the second-tier banks; they listen to its voice. Therefore, Russia's position is important.

It is important to understand it for our readers. Russia maintains good relations with both the Jewish state and the Palestinian one. So, when President Putin visited the Jews in Jerusalem, he stopped by the Palestinians in Bethlehem. By the way, the Crown Prince of Great Britain Charles did the same. Great powers have their own responsibility. And it is absolutely necessary for Russia to express its point of view. But Russia is not obliged to push it through.

Politics is the art of the possible. The state of Israel is on the interweaving of many world political intrigues. It seems to some forces, such as the American evangelists (or the French Jewish community): what is happening there is more important than anything else.

But Russia, thank God, is not so concerned about STBs. The time when Soviet Russia sent the Palestinians has also passed. Help friends - yes; to teach them how to live or to impose their ideas on them, much less to fight for them - no. It is good that the representative of the president so softly, but decisively and unequivocally outlined the position of Russia. And this deal is likely to be forgotten by the Americans after the election. To lead to a settlement, the proposal should be more balanced, and not so one-sided.
