The Egyptian security services have discovered the body of the journalist and media coordinator of the Luxor Film Festival, Rehab Badr, at the dawn of her apartment in Maadi in the south of Cairo.
Najda El Maadi police received a report from the journalist’s husband and mother after trying to contact her more than once without responding from them, and they went to her apartment and knocked on the door without a response, and asked the neighbors and the real estate guard that they did not leave the apartment and broke the door, and found her body in her bedroom.
The examination showed that all the outlets of the apartment are intact, while the cause of death has not been revealed, according to Egyptian media.
Media reports added that the victim returned to Cairo to work on several special works for the Luxor Festival for African Cinema, which is scheduled to hold its ninth session during next April.
He stated that she was scheduled to finish her work and return to Alexandria, where her husband is the director, Amin Abdel Moneim, in order to participate in the Alexandria Film Festival.
