The most memorable phrase of the year, pronounced by one of the deputies whose votes made possible the investiture of Pedro Sánchez and the new Government of coalition -Montse Bassa, of ERC-, has been the surprising statement: "I don't give a damn about the governance of Spain". The feeling, reeking of hate for democracy, is not as extraordinary as we might think. Its equivalent can be found in speeches delivered by Spanish politicians long before the contemporary era.
