  • The Rennes start-up Ubiscale has developed an intelligent medallion to track its cat.
  • Feelloo makes it possible to follow the course of its feline during the day and to obtain information on its sleep or activity time.
  • A presale campaign for the object, sold for 99 euros, has just been launched.

What can your cat do while you are away? Is he quietly sprawled on the couch while waiting for your return? Or does he have trips around the neighborhood with his fellow humans? The cat being by nature quite free and secret, not sure that it answers your questions. So to satisfy the curiosity of the owners, the Rennes startup Ubiscale has just developed an intelligent medallion for kitties.

Called Feelloo and sold for 99 euros, this miniature GPS clings to any necklace and communicates thanks to the Internet connection in your home. By opening the dedicated application on his smarpthone, the owner will then be able to geolocate his animal and follow his route during the day.

"In the end, people spend quite a bit of time with their cat during the day," says Samuel Ryckewaert, co-founder of the company. This therefore makes it possible to watch over him from a distance by discovering his habits and the extent of his territory ”.

Information on sleep or activity time

In addition to spying on your cat, the medallion also offers other features. A melody can thus be activated if your cat is well hidden in your accommodation. The tool also provides data on the feline's sleep and activity time. "If he sleeps too much or not enough, it can alert the owner to a possible health problem," said the director of Ubiscale, who was present last weekend at the Paris Animal Show to present his technology. And if the cat has disappeared for several days or has moved beyond the basic range, a national search can be activated for a month thanks to the Orange network at a price of 9.90 euros.

Before considering the industrialization phase of its product, the Rennes start-up launched presales on a crowdfunding platform. It hopes to reach the figure of 300 pre-sales by the end of February before definitively launching Feelloo on the market. Your tomcats will only have to behave well!
