The organization that delivers the data on the most purchased and streamed songs is IFPI. Ludvig Werner, managing director at IFPI Sweden, writes in an e-mail to the Cultural News that they are seriously looking at all forms of manipulation and fake or purchased streams. He also writes that "they have urged Spotify to ensure that their rules make it impossible or very difficult to achieve success through cheating."
