On Thursday, DN published an article in which Swedish rapper Mange Schmidt showed how listening to one of his songs increased on Spotify after he purchased streaming on a site. He did something to draw attention to the issue and show his views on the problem.

Now Johan Westman, who is the editorial director of music in P3 and P4, tells the Music Guide that he does not feel safe sending the Digilist on the basis of the available material.

The organization that delivers the data on the most purchased and streamed songs is IFPI. Ludvig Werner, managing director at IFPI Sweden, writes in an e-mail to the Cultural News that they are seriously looking at all forms of manipulation and fake or purchased streams. He also writes that "they have urged Spotify to ensure that their rules make it impossible or very difficult to achieve success through cheating."
