The prefecture of Vendée announced this Tuesday morning through a press release the evacuation of the former France Telecom holiday center of Brétignolles-sur-Mer, occupied since December 31, 2019 by opponents of the port of pleasure.

She justifies her decision with a court decision rendered by the Sables d'Olonne High Court on January 10 and specifies that "the police are proceeding with the evacuation this morning".

As a reminder, for several months, resistance has been organized against the marina project, led by the Community of communes of the Pays de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and its president Christophe Chabot (mayor of Brétignolles). Since the beginning of October, Zadists have settled on a farm facing the sea. Demonstrations against the project are regularly organized.
