A Hong Kong airline forced a passenger to undergo a pregnancy test before boarding the plane to Saipan Island of Northern Mariana, which is a popular destination for those who want to give their babies US citizenship.

Although traveler Midori Nishida (25 years) confirmed that she was not pregnant, the authorities insisted on taking the test that showed her sincerity, and then allowed her to travel.

In 2018, about 600 children were born to tourists on the island, which is more than the island's own births.

According to the "Wall Street Journal" airlines have taken measures on their flights to Saipan since February 2019, to ensure that US immigration laws are not violated.
