Lisa Smit, who can be seen from Friday in the new Netflix series Ares , believes that the Netherlands is well placed on the map in the series.
Ares is the first fully Dutch series produced by Netflix and will be shown all over the world. The Dutch actors themselves voted for the English dubbing.
The first episode includes the Rijksmuseum. "It may almost feel like a cliché to us, but for someone from Peru or anywhere else I think that would be nice to see," says 26-year-old Smit to NU.nl.
Smit, who has previously appeared in the Dokter Deen series and the German film Quellen des Lebens , thinks that other typical Dutch series can also be of interest to Netflix viewers worldwide.
"I recently played in Baantjer: The Beginning . That is really very Amsterdam, but that was also internationally acclaimed. I think that is very positive, I would also like to work abroad."
