According to this, even if you receive a basic disability pension, you will be able to receive child support allowance, and in this case, you will be deducting the additional amount to the family with children who are added to the pension.

This means, for example, that if you have one child, you will receive approximately 24,000 yen, which is the child support allowance per month of approximately 42,000 yen minus the additional pension.

Single-parent homes are estimated at 1.42 million households nationwide in FY2016, and it is estimated that about 1% of these households receive the basic disability pension.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to submit to the ordinary Diet, which will open this month, any legislative amendments required to review the system.
