The Lebanese artist Marwan Khoury revealed that he loves folk songs, although he is a singer who was famous for providing romantic works and poems in particular, describing folk songs as tongue of the people, and expresses every stage with a good melody and simple words away from insinuation.
Khoury stressed in his interview with «Emirates Today» that he does not refuse to go into the acting experience, but only if the work is strong. He added, “I am a fan of popular singers, and I find myself influenced by their songs so far, such as Mohamed Rushdie, Ahmed Adawiya, and Mohamed El-Ezaby, and other big stars who left a mark in the history of the Egyptian and Arabic song, and we deal with their popular or simple songs as being from the live classics, because they expressed Society and people. ”
Khoury, who performed a concert at the recent Arab Music Festival in Cairo and dedicated a song to the Egyptian people, continued his frequent attendance at the Egyptian concerts, especially at the Opera House: “I used to take part almost every year in these celebrations of Arab Music Festival, and I feel very proud to stand in front of The Egyptian public, especially the elite audience of the very gourmet opera, and this holds me very responsible. ”

On this phenomenon, Khoury commented: “With great regret, the release of complete albums has become a risk to the accounts of the market, reason and logic, and is no longer a favored idea from most stars because of its adventure, which may not be in most times in the interest of the singer or production, because the nature of the audience changed and became preferable to renew ».
