Madame Tussauds has removed the wax figures of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in London from the images of, among others, the British Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip.
The museum says it is following the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are renouncing their status as senior royals. The wax images of the couple have been moved to another location in Madame Tussauds.
"Like the rest of the world, we respond to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex no longer wants to be senior royals," responds Steve Davies of Madame Tussauds in The Independent. "From today they are no longer with the rest of the British royal family."
According to Davies, the couple still have a prominent place in the museum. "As two of the most popular characters, they naturally remain very important to Madame Tussauds."
