Emirati poet Hamda Al-Murr has become the first female voice to qualify for the second stage of the "Poet of the Million" competition in its ninth session, after she qualified with the Saudi poet Khaled Al-Qusari Al-Juhani, the evening of yesterday, after receiving the highest degree from the jury of the competition.

The qualification of Hamda, one of three poets included in the list of 48 poets qualified to participate in the competition, came after she presented a symbolic poem in which she expressed the advanced position of Emirati women, thanks to the leadership's leadership and embracing the cause of women.

The evening also witnessed the qualification of Nasser bin Khamis Al Ghaylani, from the Sultanate of Oman, from the poets of the second episode, after receiving the highest percentage of the public’s vote, through the “Poet of the Million” website and application. The episode included the participation of the poet Masoud Bait Saeed, from Al-Ahwaz in Iran, who is the first Iranian poet to participate in the competition since its inception, and sung in his poem the symbolism of the cup and the authentic Arab values, which remain the only way to save the Arabs from their dispersal, weakness and the demands of the nations against them, in a perfect dialogue between The poet and the cup, up to the many dimensions that he employed with each part of the cup to indicate a specific meaning and nothing else.

A member of the competition’s jury, Sultan Al-Amimi, described the poet as “an authentic Arabic voice loaded with distinctive poetry in terms of employing vocabulary that is special in Arab culture, and the successful expression of the poetic position with beautiful poetic imagery and outstanding creativity.”

The next episode of "The Poet of the Million" will witness the competition of poets Turki Al Habsi (Sultanate of Oman), Salem Muhammad Al Mulla (Emirates), Adel Wasl Allah Al Harthy, Abdul Majeed Al Ghaydani (Saudi Arabia), Ghazi Al Awn Al Sardi (Jordan), and Mohammed Hussein Al Shamry (Iraq).
