The air could also be blocked next week. The Spaf, pilots 'union, and the SNGAF, hostesses and stewards' union, call on Air France cabin crew to strike for several days at the start of the school year against the pension reform, we learned this Thursday from these organizations.

The CRPN is the autonomous complementary pension fund for pilots, hostesses and stewards. It has 5 billion euros in reserves.

The future of the CRPN raises questions

On the pilot side, "Spaf calls a strike Monday and Tuesday," Grégoire Aplincourt, president of this organization, the second union representing pilots at Air France, told AFP. The Spaf had qualified last week of "imprecise and insufficient coating" the announcements of the government on the future of the CRPN, the autonomous pension fund complementary to the cabin crew.

Second representative union for Air France flight attendants and stewards, SNGAF calls on flight crews to go "on strike" from Monday to Thursday, he announced in a press release, where he also called for a demonstration "In the streets" and "come down from the clouds". The SNGAF considers that "the government's proposals only lead to the outright disappearance of the CRPN". "Our role as trade unionist is not to negotiate social regression, but indeed to combat it", adds the SNGAF, which expresses its "categorical refusal" to "see the CRPN die, to see privatize (old age)" seafarers and "sacrifice generations".

Last week, four hostess and steward unions (SNPNC, Unsa PNC, Unac and UNPNC) had suspended a call to strike from Friday, after considering that they had obtained assurances from the government on the maintenance of the CRPN. The retirement age at 55 for cabin crew (PNC, hostesses and stewards) must nevertheless gradually disappear for the generations born after 1987, to converge around 60, the SNPNC said. The SNPL, the majority union for pilots, lifted its strike notice after receiving "precise and engaging elements" concerning the maintenance of the CRPN and the possibility for pilots to retire at full rate at 60 years of age.
