The film Frost became the most successful animated film ever and the royal sisters Anna and Elsa became idols for a whole generation of children.
In the sequel Frost 2, which premiered on Christmas Day, the characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoffer, the reindeer Sven and the snowman Olof surrender to an enchanted forest to search for the sisters' past.
According to voice actor Annika Herlitz, who makes the Swedish voice for the ice queen Elsa, Frost 2 is a darker follow-up.
- They have managed to age the film with their audience so that the children who loved Frost when it came will also think that this movie is cool and powerful, says Annika Herlitz.
