"Night mode" is a feature of mobile phones, and the phone usually proposes a night screen activation mode that transmits screen colors from cold to warmer ones, to help you sleep better, according to the British newspaper, The Guardian.

However, the findings of a study conducted by Dr. Tim Brown and published in the Journal of Current Biology, indicate that this speech is inaccurate, as blue light does not disrupt sleep as believed, and that warm yellow light is the worst for sleep.

The process of linking the color of light with sleep began about 20 years ago by discovering the role played by melanopsin, a light-sensitive protein present in the eye that has a role in regulating the body's clock.

According to the study, light brightness levels are more important than color when it comes to activating the body clock, and when the light is dim, blue is more comfortable than yellow.

The study confirmed that the color of the screen is not the reason to keep you awake, but rather everything that the phone offers as an alternative to sleeping at night.
