From December 4, 2019 to February 16, 2020, the European House of Photography is dedicating an exhibition to Tommaso Protti, winner of the Carmignac Prize for photojournalism, for his work on deforestation in the Amazon. According to figures from the National Institute for Space Studies (INPE), deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon exceeded the 10,000 km2 threshold between August 2018 and July 2019. An increase of 43% compared to the previous 12 months.
