At the same time, the art director of the institution, Elena Kovalskaya, will lead the Vsevolod Meyerhold Center.
On December 26, at the 87th year of life, the artistic director of the Sovremennik Theater died People's Artist of the USSR Galina Volchek. She was buried in the Novodevichy cemetery.
The artistic director of the Alexandrinsky Theater Valery Fokin, in an interview with Channel Five, described the death of Volchek as a personal loss.
