The fifth session of the Dibba Al-Hisn Festival for Bilateral Theater organized by the Department of Theater in the Department of Culture will begin on February 13th, with the participation of five Arab performances, from the Emirates, Oman, Morocco, Egypt and Palestine.

The festival, whose activities embrace the cultural center of Dibba Al-Hisn, means theater works whose aesthetics focus on the dramatic interaction between two characters on the stage. The festival, whose fifth session will continue on February 17th, aims to build bridges of communication between the makers of bilateral shows (duo drama) and the audience in the region, as it seeks to be a forum for acquaintance and interaction, and building partnerships between local theatricals and their Arab counterparts.

The UAE participates in the festival with the play “I Am With You” by the Kalba Association for Folklore and Theater, which is directed by Abdul Rahman Al-Mulla, while the Egyptian participation comes through the play “Place with the Pigs” by the group “Creation Group”. As for Palestine, it will attend “Pedro and the Captain” by the theater group Yes The Sultanate of Oman records its participation through "Ahlam Abu Salama" of the Salalah National Ensemble, while Morocco's participation comes through the Basat Al Fun band, which will present the play "Absurd."

In addition to the applied seminars that read the shows presented every evening, and training workshops for supervisors of theatrical activities in Sharjah schools, the 17th edition of the Sharjah Forum for Arab Theater under the title "Theater and Imagination" will be organized within the framework of the festival, with the participation of a group of researchers.
