Dagens Nyheter traditionally wrote for the magazine this year also rhymed about news events during the year. But a rhyme aroused so much criticism that it has now been removed.
On December 23, the magazine highlighted one of the most circumscribed crimes of the year when a 15-year-old was shot dead in Malmö in November. The belt sounded:
“A child was born in the city of Malmö, so it was God's pleasure. He was about to turn sixteen, but was shot with a gun yesterday. "
On social media, the rhyme aroused great criticism and was called cynical and distasteful. Two days after the post was published, DN chose to remove the rhyme. SVT News has searched the magazine which refers to their new posts on Instagram and on their site:
For several years, DN has had a tradition in December with rhymed comments on often serious events and events during the past year.
