German nutritionist Harald Zeitz confirmed that Lycopene has enormous health benefits, as it helps prevent heart disease and cancer.

He explained that lycopene is part of the antioxidants, which fight what are known as Free Radicals, which attack DNA, and raise the risk of heart disease and cancer.

This substance also helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays, even if it does not replace sunscreen.

Zeitz noted that the nutritional sources of lycopene are tomatoes, especially tomato paste and tomato juice, as well as watermelon, red carrots and red pepper.
