Every year I hope that Christmas Eve arrives and our holy television surprises me. I no longer ask you to innovate, or to offer me something different, I just beg you not to offer us the same as always, what you have been with us since the days of Maricastaña. For God's sake, if the Government of Sanchez has taken Franco out of the Valley of the Fallen, how can he not be able to end the most damn night on television!

I may seem exaggerated, but I am not. Since times when I had no memory I remember Christmas Eve with La 1 on the television of the house where I had dinner and there was Telepasión. Telepassion! It's just that writing it already sounds rancid. Just as RTVE thinks it is entertaining to see the best-known faces of public television dancing, singing and assembling numbers.

And like 20 years or 30 years ago, it was like that - my grandmother was entertained not to see - but we are in the 21st century, we have advanced, and you can give something much better than what happened last night, not only in the public chain but in general in all others.

Before going into the matter, which is for a while, I will make a plea to the only thing that was worth it last night (and it arrived at a few hours that not even the brothers-in-law were awake). I refer to the program Journey to the center of the TV. It was broadcast on La 1 at about 1:00 a.m. and it was the best television gave us last night. Although it may seem like a simple program, we are not aware of the large archive that Spanish public television has and the little use it makes of it.

A program as easy as making a selection of the music archive of public television, setting it up, putting a few comments and letting the viewer enjoy. And I do not speak of the spectator of old age, I speak of all ages. In the end, on Christmas Eve television is a mere companion in the family dinner, in the drinks afterwards and in the table that lengthens, but to be able to enjoy that file, which is pure gold, and dispense with that Telepasión or David Bisbal singing live in a canned program (paradoxes) or Estopa and his memories, he would do a great favor to Christmas Eve and television.

Without detracting from the work of RTVE employees who have to pretend, nor the work of Roberto Leal, the least expired of the night - it is always a safe value -, nor the accompaniment of Miriam Díaz Aroca (since when do you not I saw this woman?), about Telepasión: a stormy night is to make him look at her. Roberto Leal, Anne Igartiburu, Diego Losada, Ana Ibáñez, Mónica López, Albert Barniol, Máximo Huerta, Elena S. Sánchez, Tamara Falcó ... and so on until we get tired performing songs like In love with youth fashion, It's my party - Támara Falcó is the new star of La 1-, YMCA -cooling- or Taste of love. Look that they put effort, see that it seems that they have a good time, see that they put a lot of will, but please, it is time to move on.

Surely there is someone who loves this traditional Christmas moment -for tastes colors-, but I really say that it is time to take off dandruff on top. Just thinking about the work and the cost of preparing all this special so that afterwards the result is the same as we have been seeing since many of us were in the womb of our holy mother, it makes you consider many things. I know that Telepasión is broadcast just when the majority is preparing dinner or directly having dinner and that practically not even God listens to what is currently being broadcast on television. Then, with more reason, so that the television that night is an accompaniment, but an accompaniment that does not remember the NO-DO.

Then La 1 opted for what is also becoming a Christmas Eve tradition, the direct of some great artist. This time it was David Bisbal and his friends. And hey, that the thing was not so bad, that in the end is David Bisbal, but that neither. All very beautiful, all very Christmas, all very musical, and David Bisbal giving everything, but that also begins to smell stale. Really, it is much better to turn to the Christmas Eve king by par excellence, which is much better to return to Raphael, so at least brothers, brothers-in-law and others can have their own scandal. And then Estopa, for making a wink to the young people, I want to think, but, I'm sorry, neither.

I keep the trip to the center of the earth, I stayed with half the family dancing to the sound of Milli Vanilli, George Michael or Antonio Flores; I want to start downloading as if there were not one tomorrow all the performances offered by the program; I keep the hip movements that ripped us off; I prefer that little is better and good than much and bad.

Yes, Christmas Eve on public television smells stale, but we don't believe that what others offered was much better. Maybe La 2 that threw humor with How we laughed and also classics, which within what fits are more than commensurate with the channel and also also shot the archive and recovered the usual comedians, Tuesday and Thirteen - how much they miss them-, Gila, Tip and Coll, Faemino and Tired, Chiquito. Good humor, humor that deserves to have the TV on. The rest, the usual or simply nothing.

In Spain it is to end the King's speech and get dandruff to the silly box. Antenna 3, for example, pulled a classic: zapping. Others that such dance, but at least do not try to decorate what has no salvation. In Antena 3, they opted for the best of each house, which was actually the best of Atresmedia, which is what they cannot use the content of the competition. And, look, to sleep ideal of death, for everything else ... let's leave it in silence.

It is the best and cheapest resource for Christmas Eve and also for New Year's Eve. You pull your file, take the best moments of ... and throw. It is the option of the one who thinks 'this is what there is, and whoever wants it here has it and the one who does not let it blow with fresh wind'. More sincere can not be. Antena 3 did not fall to mount a special casposo, nor the musical programs, nor in great performances (they will keep it for New Year's Eve) and opted for the best of the options in a night in which the television passes to a flat room. I put a zapping and if I have seen you I do not remember. In the end you have to love them.

And then there is the friendly network, Telecinco, which, although it seems that it offered something different, something that did not go with the rest, something that could differentiate them, the reality is that it chose to get into Bertín Osborne's house with a few friends and make a program that, being restrained, I can only qualify as very crazy.

Can you imagine a Christmas Eve dinner at Bertín Osborne's house with Paz Padilla, Rappel, Jesús Vázquez, Omar Montes, Santi Millán, Millán Salcedo, Ainhoa Arteta, India Martínez and many others sitting at the same dinner? Well that's what Telecinco offered and I'm still with my eyes wide. A kind of 'we accept boat as a companion animal', but very crazy and very bizarre. Yes, yes, the variety is the taste, but one thing is one thing and another is to mix menthol with Coca Cola and roll it brown.

There was Paz Padilla doing that I was nervous because in a week she is in charge of giving the bells in Telecinco and had to choose dress -when they think we have fallen from a cherry, I get on my nerves-. So he decided that Bertín, Santi Millán and David de Jorge would help him choose the model. And how could it be otherwise Paz Padilla decided to make grace at the expense of Cristina Pedroche and her, let's call them, short dresses. Oh, if envy were ringworm! And not for the one that has Paz, that I doubt he has it, but for the one that has the friendly chain, which should bust him that La Pedroche has been taking a pulse for years at La 1 with the retransmission of the bells, while they they eat two-handed boogers.

Yes, he took out a first dress that left little to the imagination and grace was already made. What a simplicity, really. By the end, in this madness of the program, dating a unicorn monkey, who laughs, as if they were having a tit, was the favorite of the jury. And then dinner, blessed dinner! If they do it, they don't bet. He was so forced, so scripted, so mounted that he really had very little. Entertaining? Well, possibly the most entertaining of the night compared to the rest. Better than the typical special? Without a doubt. Worth changing channels? In some moments, yes.

Meanwhile, in Cuatro, they bet on love and for what never fails them, for their First Dates. They did not risk, but at least they gave another option as usual. The Sixth, like her comadre, Antena 3, also pulled the file, but threw the file of the winner. He pulled David Broncano and his monologues at The Comedy Club. And although older than the Encarta encyclopedia, at least, it offered something for the younger audience. Of the children, let's forget. Children do not exist on Christmas Eve, parents can not sit on the couch and plant a movie or something that entertains them because Christmas Eve television is designed from two rhombuses. The television is saved by children for Christmas, for the desktop, that the body of the elderly is for retirement and so the children see a Disney movie and everyone so happy.

And no, I'm not going to quote pay TVs because what I know is that Christmas Eve is not to sit and watch your favorite series or the last five chapters that you have pending. The television on Christmas Eve serves to accompany, but although it only serves for that, and to fall asleep when the time comes, I am convinced that they can give us something much better. I am convinced that the smell of rancid can be changed to fresh aromas. I am convinced that we can remove dandruff from our shoulders.
