December 25 marks 120 years since the birth of the legend of the "golden era" of Hollywood Humphrey Bogart. He began his career with inconspicuous roles in Broadway productions and little-known films. They noticed Bogart thanks to the film “The High Sierra”, and his career took off after the release of John Houston's directorial debut “The Maltese Falcon” - where the actor embodied the canonical image of the detective subsequently. Bogart starred in cult films of his time: the films Casablanca, Treasures of the Sierra Madre, Sabrina, Angels with Dirty Faces, and the African Queen. The latter brought the artist an Oscar. In 1999, the American Film Institute recognized Humphrey Bogart as the greatest actor in film history.
