The Algerian News Agency reported on Twitter today, Monday, that the Algerian Army Chief of Staff, General Ahmed Kayed Saleh, died of a heart attack at the age of 80.
Algerian President Abdelmajid Taboun announced the national mourning for 3 days and 7 days for the military establishment.
Taboun was assigned to Major-General Said Shingriqa, acting commander of the army.
General Ahmed Qaid Saleh was born on January 13, 1940, in the wilaya of Batna.
