For this reason, the government officially decided on the 20th Cabinet to hold the opening date on April 13 about three weeks ahead of the original schedule.

The period of the Expo is just half a year until October 13, and the government expects that there will be no significant impact on the number of visitors expected to reach 28 million by the advance of the period.

The government will submit a plan to the BIE = Exposition International Secretariat by the end of the year, and aim to obtain approval at the BIE General Assembly scheduled for June next year.
