The uncut is not good, December 16th 16:21

Perhaps it was when he became a junior high school student.
Usually, it is not covered by the foreskin, so it is considered “the right state”.
“Why worry?”
The result of research that analyzed it seriously was announced.
And this problem was already in the Meiji era, and it seemed to continue after that.

Adolescent worries

There is a consultation phone of the Japan Family Planning Association that accepts sexual issues related to adolescence.
Last year, about 1000 consultations were received.
The order of consultation content.

1st place: About masturbation 2nd place: About uncut 3rd place: About genitals

The second most common was uncut.
"No mote" "Premature ejaculation"
It is said that people who have suffered from such complains on the Internet and magazines will receive calls.

Reality and ideals

Phimosis is the condition where the glans portion of the male genitalia is covered with foreskin.
There are two types.

Even if the foreskin is pulled, the glans part is not exposed.
If you pull the foreskin, the “pseudo-uncut” is exposed.

There are experts who have investigated how many people have perceived this situation.

I am Daisuke Onuki, a professor at Tokai University, who studies sexual health and rights. In collaboration with Professor Yuko Higashi of Osaka Prefecture University, I surveyed on the internet this summer.
Approximately 4,800 people answered, and in October, part of the results were published in the “Modern Educational Research Journal”.

He asked me to answer which of 1 to 4 applies to his normal appearance.

Picture 1 All the glans are covered: about 43%
Picture 2 A part of the glans is covered with foreskin: approx. 30%
Picture 3 All glans are exposed and not covered with foreskin: approx. 22%
Picture 4 The foreskin has been removed by surgery: about 4%
(All are normal)

73% including “the glans are all covered” and “a part of the glans is covered with foreskin”. In other words, many Japanese are the result of uncutness.
I haven't asked if it is "true" or "pseudo", but the percentage of "true" is said to be around a few percent, so it seems that about 70% can be considered "pseudo-uncut".
On the other hand, about 74% of respondents answered that “what is the ideal appearance of a male genitalia”? “All glans are exposed and not covered with foreskin”.

“Many people are uncut, but many people think that the ideal is not.”
I think there is a background where there are many consultations.

“I can see it” “I ’ll add my hands”

According to the questionnaire, "All the glans are covered" or "A part of the glans is covered with foreskin", that is, people who have phimosis say "When you enter the public bath, do you enter after peeling off the foreskin?" I'm asking.

As a result, about 55% of the respondents answered that they always enter after turning off and sometimes enter after turning off.

Prof. Onuki: About half of them are both “peeling” in order to make them think they are ideal. It ’s also called “visible”, but it ’s more than I imagined. ”

In addition, 66% of those who were “not covered with foreskin” responded that they “intentionally modified” in order to get away.
I tend to work harder, not naturally.

Prof. Onuki "I feel inferior and hurt because of the recognition that it is good to go. I think it's a little ridiculous or sad."

No medical problem

Is there a medical problem?
“Even if it ’s in a“ pseudo-uncut ”state, there ’s no problem.”
He told me when I asked Eiji Ishikawa, Director of Ishikawa Clinic, Department of Urology in Kobe City.

Director Ishikawa “But it ’s better to clean it, so please wash it. If you put too much soap and wash it, it may lose fat or come off, so it feels like washing it with water.”

However, even if this explanation is a patient ...

Dr. Ishikawa “Man who is worried about pseudo-phimosis often comes to the consultation. I explain that there is no problem, but there are people who are convinced and others who come back many times. I think it is"

From the Meiji period

Prof. Onuki said that this tendency is also present in the literature of the Meiji period.

An anthropologist, Buntaro Adachi, published in the “Tokyo Anthropology Journal” in Meiji 32, found that the magazine was stored in the “Archaeology Laboratory” at the University of Tokyo.

Numerous papers on anthropology and archeology in the library. As you turned the pages of the found magazine one page at a time, the paper you were looking for was found.

The title is “Japanese penis no foreskin”.
Adachi asked a military doctor to check what the foreskin looked at the physical examination of the soldiers at that time. I was investigating 485 people from the Hiroshima Infantry Regiment.
The result is ...

▽ "Those that cover all or part of the glans during peacetime": 141 people ▽ "Those that expose all of glans during peacetime": 344 people

There are about 30% of uncut stems, and there are overwhelmingly many who are not, but there is a continuation in the analysis.

Of the 344 people, there were 27 people who could not cover the glans even if the foreskin was extended, and 317 people that could be covered if the foreskin was intentionally extended. In other words, it seems that many of the people who seem to be “off” at first glance may actually be uncut.

It is written that some soldiers said, "If you keep the glans exposed, you will roll up and stay as it is."

It was a paper that showed that it was already considered desirable to be uncovered in this period.

The situation overseas ...

What about the situation overseas?
Professor Onuki says he has a completely different perception.

Prof. Onuki “There is the word“ phimosis ”for phimosis, but this only means“ true phimosis ”in Japan. The word for“ pseudo phimosis ”does not exist in English or European languages.”
`` There are people who do 'circumcision' who cuts the foreskin at an early age for religious reasons, so if you look at a male genitalia that is not usually covered, you will be recognized as 'If you are circumcised' "

According to Prof. Onuki, it is natural that overseas, except circumcision, is not normal, and it is “natural”, that is, “natural” that has not been touched.
He says that it may be only a culture of Japan, mainly to make a change.

Prof. Onuki “Overseas, there is also the idea that“ cutting the foreskin is a violation of human rights ”, and“ cutting / not cutting ”is the point of debate rather than“ cutting / not cutting ”.”

Are you okay? Respond to

The way of thinking about foreskin seems to vary greatly depending on the local culture and religion, etc., but it seems embarrassed or inferior when it is considered “natural” in the world. It may be the current situation in Japan.

In Sweden, I had a book of “Men's genre” distributed mainly for youth education.

I thought that the foreskin was covered or not covered, photos of various states were posted, and I was able to know that there were various cases.

I want to end “enen”

This problem has continued for over 100 years.

I'm a junior high school student.
When I looked at the magazine, it was written that it was bad that it was uncut, and I wasn't sure what it was, and I was embarrassed to ask my friend.

Such a situation seems to be almost unchanged even in the present age when information is overflowing on the Internet.

In Japan, there is a certain culture or atmosphere to talk about these things, and it feels like the unpleasant state of “uncut” has become a problem.

“I want you to teach me at school”
However, as a parent, I want to teach my children with courage without relying only on them.

It may be embarrassing, but I want you to spread that kind of atmosphere to speak the right thing properly.

That way, I think that there will be no one who will be annoyed with the uncut phimosis like a ghost that doesn't really exist.

I wanted to end my worries that I didn't have to worry, and I read the latest research and research from the Meiji period and felt that way.
